Day by Day Program
Day 1
Arrival in Kigali - shuttle to the accommodation
Overnight: good midrange city hotel – BB
Day 2
Drive to Akagera NP - Travel time approx. 3 hours – first afternoon game
Overnight: superior midrange Lodge - FB
Day 3
Activity in Akagera:
Game drives and optional early morning balloon ride ($350 pp)
Overnight: superior midrange Lodge - FB
Day 4
Drive to Lake Bunyonyi Travel time approx. 5 hours - the last part is by boat - before you reach the boat your driver makes a detour to a beautiful viewpoint of the lake. Lake Bunyonyi is very clean and safe to swim.

Day 5
In the morning from 9-12 boat tour with optional hikes or other activities on the lake. After lunch drive from Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth NP Travel time approx. 4 hours.

Day 6
Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura or nature walk in Maramagambo forest - In the afternoon 2 or 4 p.m. Kazinga Channel boat tour (both activities included in the tour price)

Day 7
Lion tracking in the morning (included in the tour price) then drive to Bwindi to the home of the mountain gorilla
Travel time approx. 5-6 hours

Day 8
Gorilla Tracking optional +800$ or Nature Walk or Birding Experience in Bwindi (+ 20-90$)
after the track you will continue to Kisoro (about 2 hours)

Day 9
Golden Monkeys tracking or volcano climb of Mt. Sabyinyo or M. Gahinga or Batwa Trail Hike. Only you have to decide whether Monkeys or Vulkan or Batwa - one of them is included in the package price.

Day 10
During the drive back to Rwanda to beautiful Lake Kivu there is an optional opportunity to visit the Grave Dian Fossey Graveyard with Research Centers and Mt. Bisoke (75$ pp all together) and / or hike Musanze Cave (duration about 1 hour, costs 55$).

Relax day at Lake Kivu - or optionally various boat trips or hikes excursions can be booked through the lodge

Day 12
Drive to Nyungwe Forest with many photo stops along Lake Kivu.

Day 13
Activity in Nyungwe - included in the price:
Either Chimpanzee tracking takes place at 5 in the very early morning and can last all day (must be pre-booked) OR Colobus hike (recommendable as there are rare colobus monkeys) in the morning AND Nature Walk to Kamiranzovu Falls in the afternoon OR full-day rainforest hike

Day 14
Transfer back to Kigali. Departure 6 o'clock in the morning. Early morning you will enjoy the fascinationgCanopy Walk and at about lunch time visit the Nyanza Palace (both activities included)
Travel time approx. 6 hours
We will drop you at the Airport for an evening flight home or you opt for another night in Kigali possibly with a city tour the next day (surcharge from 50 to 150$)
