Day by Day Program

Day 1 – Arrival Day

arrival in Entebbe, Airport shuttle to your lodge

Day 2 – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP, full day drive on a scenic road along tea plantations and nice landscape. Photostops . Lunch included.

You will reach the lodge in time for a sundowner at the campfire.

Day 3 – Chimpanzee Tracking with Kazinga Kazinga Channel Boat Trip

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura gorge or Kalinzu Forest (included in package price) - followed by one of the highlight attractions in Uganda, the Kazinga Channel boat cruise.

Day 4 – Queen Elizabeth NP and transfer to Bwindi

in the morning game drive up to 11am, then you proceed with your lunchbox to Bwindi, the home of the gorillas.

Optional: the very recommended Lion and Predator Tracking early morning at 7 am. You are allowed to follow the trackers car with your safari vehicle off track and it is sure that they show you lions very close and probably a leopard as well. (+220$ )

Day 5 – The magic encounter with the last Mountain Gorillas or Nature Walk

Your Gorilla tracking day - the gorilla tracking is optional on extra cost of 800 $ for the permit. For those who are not tracking a guided Community and Nature walk can be arranged (extra cost 20$ outside the NP, as birding walk inside the NP it is 90$)

After the track or walk transfer to Lake Bunyonyi along a scenic road – transfer time 3 hours. If you have enough time an optional stop can be done at a view point overlooking the lake. Your Lodge is situated directly at the shores of the lake. with very good swimming possibilities from its private swimming decks. The lake is very clean and safe for swimming.

Day 6 - Lake Bunyonyi Boat Trip or one more day at Lake Mburo

This morning our local guide will pick you up at the lodge for your Lake Bunyonyi boat trip and market visit (market only on Mondays and Fridays).

During the boat trip our local guide can arrange guided hikes from easy to medium on the islands, or a visit at the climbing park with canopy walk and Zip Line over the lake, or standup paddling. If you are interested a visit a Healthcenter our a school is recommendable.

Optional we can skip one night at Lake Bunyonyi and add 1 day in Lake Mburo for more Wildlife experience. This option costs 140$ pp more.

Day 7 – Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

transfer to Lake Mburo NP. Around Lake Mburo long horn cattle ,so called Ankole cattle, is raised. The National Park is a small but extraordinary beautiful park. The only one with Zebras on your trip. But as well giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes including Eland antelopes and impalas and much more. It is as well a top birding destination.

Day 8 – Game Drive and Transfer to Entebbe - possibility to fly home in the evening

Early morning game drive.

Transfer to Entebbe via the Equator Memorial.

If your flight back starts in the evening we might drop you at the Airport.

Day 9 – Entebbe – optional Shoebill Boat Trip or Back Home

Shoebill boat trip in the morning or afternoon (you will be picked up at the lodge for the boattrip). A short guided walk will bring you to the boat. There are only about 25 of these prehistorical looking birds in the Mabamba Swamps. Our team of local guides will guide you in small canoes through the swamps to spot at least one of them – then relax time in Entebbe before the flight back home.

Shoebill is optional for 2-3 participants (+50$) and included from 4 participants
