Day 1

Arrival in Entebbe  - Airport shuttle included

Day 2

transfer to Kibale Forest NP

Day 3

Morning walk through the Bigodi wetlands with a local guide to see endemic monkeys, birds, and more, and get explanations about nature, plants, and their uses—this experience is followed by a local lunch in Tinka. The food is delicious and you get some explanations about Ugandan food traditions. 

Towards 2pm the optional chimpanzee tracking starts (+250$). In the afternoon it is not so crowded and you can usually see the chimpanzees better than in the morning.

Instead of Chimpanzee Tracking you can do a hike to the top of the world crater lakes (+15$) or relax in the lush gardens of the lodge with nice view and beautiful birds.

Day 4

Today transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. First stop at a crater lake and from there to a vanilla plantation community project where the best organic vanilla is produced and the entire process is explained to the guests. The vanilla can be bought there and has an exceptional quality - $ 2.5 per bean. If vanilla is purchased, the tour is free, if not, they will be happy to receive a small donation. Afterwards some banana markets (Matoke) will be passed - photo stop!. Today we organize a local lunch - typical Ugandan street food (Rolex or goat grill - Rolex is an omelette with vegetables rolled into a chapati pan bread - the name comes from to roll and to take ex and has nothing to do with a specific Swiss watch brand. Before reaching the lodge, your driver will make a stop at Twin Lakes View Point before reaching the lodge. This can also be done the next day. The lodge is beautifully situated with  pool and views over the national park.

Day 5

EITHER Game Drive in the morning or you take one of these options:

1. Option: From 8 a.m.  an optional 2nd chimpanzee trackling in the Kyambura Gorge can be organized (surcharge 100$ pp,

2. Option: from 7 a.m. the lion/leopard tracking (+120$). At Queen Elizabeth NP there is a unique opportunity to participate in early morning Lion and Predator tracking. This is a new activity and it's really worth it. You can follow the tracker car with our safari vehicle off the track and it is certain that you will see lions up close and probably at least one leopard. (this can be done either today or tomorrow) 

In the afternoon included in package price Kazinga Channel boat safari at 2 p.m. A highlight of the day awaits you, the boat trip to the Kazinga Canal. On the banks of the channel you can observe many animals.

Day 6

You proceed to Bwindi, the home of gorillas.

Early morning you can have a game drive or the optional lion Predator tracking (see details in 2.Option of previous day)

Day 7

optional Gorilla Tracking Day (permit costs 800$) For those who are not tracking a guided Community and Nature walk can be arranged (extra cost 20$ outside the NP, as birding walk inside the NP it is 90$

When you choose the gorilla tracking  - today the magical encounter with our cousins will fill your day. We will check in with the local staff a few days before tracking to make sure we can find a good gorilla group for that can be reached with a not too strenuous hike as you will have an afternoon activity as well. However, this cannot be determined exactly, because the gorillas travel at different speeds and you don't know in which direction they run in the morning. 

In the afternoon  transfer to Lake Bunyonyi along a scenic road – transfer time about 3 hours. If weather and view are nice and you have enough time left an optional sundowner stop can be done a view point overlooking the lake. Your Lodge is situated directly at the shores of the lake. The lake is very clean and safe for swimming.  Transfer to the lodge by boat.

Day 8

Transfer to Lake Mburo NP with afternoon game drive. Longhorn cattle, so-called Ankole cattle, are bred around Lake Mburo. The national park is a small but extraordinarily beautiful park. The only one with zebras on this trip. But also giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes including eland antelopes and impalas and much more. It is also a top destination for bird watchers. In the afternoon, instead of a game drive, you can also order horseback riding or cycling in the park. This must be booked a few days in advance and costs extra (price depends on the time spent and must be requested)

Day 9

Morning game drive in Lake Mburo NP, then transfer to Entebbe via the Equator Monument (lunch and photo stop) and stop at a drum factory, the only place in Uganda where the traditional drums are made. They expect a tip for the visit with explanations. But there is also a drum session to participate in... Back in Entebbe at around 5 p.m. ... 

You can either fly out the same evening or spend a last day in Entebbe

Day 10

Back in Entebbe, there is the  shoebill boat safari in swamps of Mabamba awaiting you. This can be done early morning or at 1 pm, which is recommendable. You will be picked up at the lodge and reach the boat after a few minutes on foot. There are only about 25 of these prehistoric-looking birds in the Mabamba Swamps. Our team of local guides will take you through the swamps in small canoes to discover at least one of them.

In the afternoon or evening transfer to the airport
