Day by Day Program

Day 1 – Arrival Day

arrival in Entebbe, Airport shuttle to your lodge

Day 2– transfer to Murchison via Rhinos

Day 3 –  Murchison Falls NP with Nile River Boat Cruise

Game drive in the morning, lunch break at the Nile or in your lodge. In the afternoon, the famous boat trip up the Nile to the Murchison Falls starts. On the way up the Nile to the waterfalls you will see many animals, for example crocodiles, elephants and beautiful birds.

You can optional take a private boat at extra charge: It drives closer to the shore and sometimes back if you have missed a photo. 

In no other African country you discover as many different animals per day as in Uganda.

Day 4 – Murchison Falls NP and Transfer to Kibale Forest NP

Early Game drive or optional (+50$) early morning delta boat trip to the Nile Delta on Lake Albert. You'll start at sunrise over the Nile and enjoy the morning activities of a variety of different waterfowl along the river. In addition, crocodiles, elephants and more. At 11 a.m. a 6 hour drive to Kibale begins, but don't worry... on good asphalt roads.

Day 5 – Bigodi Wetlands and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

In the morning easy walking safari in Bigodi Wetlands  to watch endemic monkeys, birds with explanation of animals and local  vegetation by a local guide.

Local lunch with explanations of Ugandan traditional food at Tinka's. In the afternoon Chimp Tracking, when not available in Queen Elizabeth NP.

Then proceed to Queen Elizabeth NP, where the included Chimpanzee Tracking is planned.

Day 6 – Queen Elizabeth NP with Chimpanzee Tracking and Kazinga Kazinga Channel Boat Trip

Chimpanzee Tracking, when available or Game Dive in the morning followed by one of the highlight attractions in Uganda, the Kazinga Channel boat cruise.

TIPP for Day 7: optional Lion/Predator Tracking in the morning. You are allowed to follow the tracking vehicle which brings you close to lions and leopards. A unique chance to spot them close in QE Park. Extra Charge for this activity 120$

Day 7 – Transfer to Bwindi, the home of Mountain Gorillas

You proceed to Bwindi, the home of gorillas.

Early morning you can have a game drive or the optional lion Predator tracking from 7 a.m. (+120$). At Queen Elizabeth NP there is a unique opportunity to participate in early morning Lion and Predator tracking. This is a new activity and it's really worth it. You can follow the tracker car with our safari vehicle off the track and it is certain that you will see lions up close and probably at least one leopard.

Day 8 – Your Gorilla Day

optional Gorilla Tracking Day (permit costs 800$) For those who are not tracking a guided Community and Nature walk can be arranged (extra cost 20$ outside the NP, as birding walk inside the NP it is 90$

When you choose the gorilla tracking  - today the magical encounter with our cousins will fill your day. We will check in with the local staff a few days before tracking to make sure we can find a good gorilla group for that can be reached with a not too strenuous hike as you will have an afternoon activity as well. However, this cannot be determined exactly, because the gorillas travel at different speeds and you don't know in which direction they run in the morning. 

In the afternoon  transfer to Lake Bunyonyi along a scenic road – transfer time about 3 hours. If weather and view are nice and you have enough time left an optional sundowner stop can be done a view point overlooking the lake. Your Lodge is situated directly at the shores of the lake. The lake is very clean and safe for swimming.  Transfer to the lodge by boat.

Day 9 – Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

Transfer to Lake Mburo NP with afternoon game drive. Longhorn cattle, so-called Ankole cattle, are bred around Lake Mburo. The national park is a small but extraordinarily beautiful park. The only one with zebras on this trip. But also giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes including eland antelopes and impalas and much more. It is also a top destination for bird watchers. In the afternoon, instead of a game drive, you can also order horseback riding or cycling in the park. This must be booked a few days in advance and costs extra (price depends on the time spent and must be requested)

Day 10 – Game Drive and Transfer to Entebbe - possibility to fly home in the evening

Morning game drive in Lake Mburo NP, then transfer to Entebbe via the Equator Monument (lunch and photo stop) and stop at a drum factory, the only place in Uganda where the traditional drums are made. They expect a tip for the visit with explanations. But there is also a drum session to participate in... Back in Entebbe at around 5 p.m. ... 

You can either fly out the same evening or spend a last day in Entebbe

If your flight back starts in the evening we might drop  you at the Airport.

Day 11– Entebbe – Shoebill Boat Trip or Back Home

Back in Entebbe, there is the shoebill boat safari in swamps of Mabamba awaiting you. This can be done early morning or at 1 pm, which is recommendable. You will be picked up at the lodge and reach the boat after a few minutes on foot. There are only about 25 of these prehistoric-looking birds in the Mabamba Swamps. Our team of local guides will take you through the swamps in small canoes to discover at least one of them.  Afternoon or  evening shuttle to Airport and out.

Or Back home, if you take the flight back on day 10.
